Porsche Centre, Newport
Dick Lovett opens new Porsche dealership in Newport, Wales, featuring SAS120 throughout the showroom space.
This new showroom is one of the largest purpose built Porsche dealerships in Europe and is currently the only Porsche centre in Wales. SAS worked in collaboration with main contractors Beard Construction and Pier Architects to deliver the SAS120 metal ceiling solution throughout the centre.
As a clip-in modular ceiling system with a concealed grid, SAS120 provides a clean, modern finish with the ability to incorporate a host of services and security features. With fully demountable tiles, services can be easily and safely accessed for maintenance. SAS120 finished in RAL9006 has been part of the Porsche corporate identity for over a decade and continues to provide the contemporary aesthetic that compliments the brand.
SAS120 was the first metal ceiling solution offered by SAS and, to this day, still fulfils its niche perfectly. Ideally suited to spaces that require a highly secure solution with challenging cleaning regimes, SAS120 is well suited to high-end car showrooms.
One key benefit of this project was the local manufacture from our Bridgend site, located just 30 minutes from the new flagship showroom. This project will foster relationships within the local community and provide a range of apprenticeships to young people in the surrounding area. The Lovett Foundation, Dick Lovett’s own charity, will be working with the City of Newport to further educate young people about the opportunities available in the automotive industry.
