Porsche Centre, Solihull
Established in 2002, Porsche re-located to the Highlands Road Centre on the outskirts of Solihull in February 2012 – offering three times the space of their previous location, including a 36 car showroom spread over two floors. SAS120 metal ceilings were chosen as the corporate specification by Porsche for its UK showrooms. The luxury car marque aims to create a distinctive look and feel for these Centres.
The SAS120 tiles are supported from a concealed SAS Spring Tee suspension grid and were supplied with a silver paint finish (RAL 9006). “As a metal ceilings solution, aesthetically they provide a high-quality look that is very much in keeping with the Porsche brand, and they will look good in 10 years’ time” according to Tapper Interiors. SAS120 meets demanding project life cycle specifications as it is guaranteed for a minimum of 25 years.
The system is easy to install and it works well in this environment as the Centre contains various building services which are easy to access through SAS International’s SAS120’s modular, clip-in ceiling system.
